Malaysian Cars- Part 2: Perodua

This is the second and final part of the series (saga :P). Just a short briefing about Perodua. Perodua stands for Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Berhad, and launched in 1993. They normally produce small-sized cars, instead of Sedan, but they did produce 4-wheel drive, the Perodua Kembara, and the latest Perodua Nautika.

We begin with the Perodua Kancil.

Facelifted Model (with new headlamp, tail lamp, front grille, fender designs)

The design of this car is taken from the Daihatsu Mira. Sometimes, you can see people in the streets driving Kancil, but with funny weird tail lamps, and sometimes sunroof. It could either be a real Daihatsu Mira, or a Kancil, with Mira parts. I cant find any Mira pictures in the internet.

Perodua Rusa

The Daihatsu Zebra

Perodua Kembara

This is not the Perodua Kembara, but the Daihatsu Terios. It looks the very same as the Kembara.

This is the Daihatsu Be-go/Toyota Rush. New version of Terios. Perodua might use this design for the Nautika.

Perodua Kenari

Daihatsu Move

Sometimes you will be able to see some Kenari with long tail lamp, and the word "Move". This is what the word "Move" means.

Perodua Kelisa

Daihatsu Mira (5th Generation)

Perodua Myvi

The Myvi is the best selling car that Perodua produce. It came from designs of the Daihatsu Sirion/Boon and the Toyota Passo.

Daihatsu Sirion

Daihatsu Boon X4

Perodua Viva

Daihatsu Mira (6th Generation)

So again, as you can see the similarities between Perodua and Daihatsu design.

In a way, its good that both Proton and Perodua uses designs from foreign car makers, as we can buy the cars cheaper, and the spare parts and accessories easily available.

To know more of Perodua cars, production you can go here and here.

Malaysian Cars - Part 1: Proton

If you have been living here at Malaysia, you would know that Proton and Perodua is our own local car production brand. They had been here for more than years, and both companies been producing cars, for Malaysians, for cheaper price range. But what you might not know is, that most of their designs of their car, is from another brand. Read on.

We'll start with Proton. Proton begin their journey with the Proton Saga, in 1985, all the way to Proton Persona in 2007. From the begining, from the Proton Saga model till the Proton Waja model, mostly the designs are from their partnership with Mitsubishi. The designs and the engine model were from Mitsubishi's designs. So dont be suprise to see some "protons" at Japan.

The Proton Saga
Comes from the Mitsubishi Lancer Fiore

The Proton Saga/Iswara (Facelifted from the Saga)

Proton Wira

Taken from the Mitsubishi Lancer

Notice it? It looks almost the same. But the Wira above is Aeroback, so the picture doesnt show the similarity with this Lancer.

Another picture of the Lancer. If you live in Malaysia, you will see many of this imatation ones.

Proton Satria

Mitsubishi Mirage/ Mitsubishi Colt

As you can see, again it looks almost the same.

Proton Perdana
Mitsubishi Eterna

Proton Tiara

Citroen AX

Proton Juara

Mitsubishi Town Box

Proton Waja

Mitsubishi Evolution (6th or 7th Generation)

Coming Soon: Part 2: Perodua

He warned us!

"Then, if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or, 'Look, there he is!'- do not believe it. For false Messiahs, and false prophets will appear. They will perform miracles and wonders in order to deceive even God's chosen people, if possible. Be on your guard! I have told you everything ahead of time.

GigiBiru

To those who were at Mayuri Restaurant, after Combine CG Meeting, knows that, it was like a "Bluetooth Party (taken from the phrase Lan Party), since everybody turned on their bluetooth. Ever wondered why it's called Bluetooth, and how it came from? Read on!

Bluetooth was named after a late tenth century king, Harald Bluetooth, King of Denmark and Norway. He is known for his unification of previously warring tribes from Denmark (including now Swedish Scania, where the Bluetooth technology was invented), and Norway. Bluetooth likewise was intended to unify different technologies, such as personal computers and mobile phones.

The name may have been inspired less by the historical Harald than the loose interpretation of him in The Long Ships by Frans Gunnar Bengtsson, a Swedish Viking-inspired novel.

The Bluetooth logo merges the Germanic runes analogous to the modern Latin letter H and B: (for Harald Bluetooth) (Hagall) and (Berkanan) merged together, forming a bind rune.

For more info on Bluetooth Technology, you can read it up here!.

26.05.2008

A date, i can never forget ( well, I'm just saying to make it more emotional), when Chelsea beats Manchester United, 2-0. For those who don't understand, let me make it clear for you.

Manchester United is the BIGGEST, STRONGEST and MOST POPULAR CLUB WITH MORE THAN MILLIONS OF FANS! So they are like the Ferrari of football. On the other hand, Chelsea is quite strong, and has been on the top 3 and top 5 for many times. Both Manchester United and Chelsea Football Club is owned by billionaires. Manchester United's current coach/manager, Sir Alex Ferguson had been in their team from 1986 till today, that shows how much the owner, players, and also fans trust the man. But for Chelsea, the current coach, just became the team's coach/manager for only 9 months only, after the old coach/manager Jose' Mourinho left the team, back at September 2007.

So that was a little intro about both teams. So that is why I'm so happy with the game tonight. Even when i was driving to the place to watch this game, i was thinking "What's the point of watching it, i know sure Man U will win it!". During the game time, i just watch, knowing that Man U will win anytime, they deserve it, they are strong and unstoppable. First goal was scored by Michael Ballack, on the first-half. I really happy, it makes me to think, not to give up too quickly. Everything went on smooth till second half, when Wayne Rooney scored a goal for Man U. I thought, that was it! It's over, they are coming. During the game time, many time Chelsea nearly scored goal, but failed. The gold keeper for Man U, Edwin van der Sar is good, but Petr Cech (Chelsea's goalkeeper) is awesome as well. Chelsea won by a penalty, because a mistake by one of the Man U's player. If it wasn't for the penalty, i think Chelsea would have not won today.

Well, i did pray too, to God to let Chelsea to win. hehehe. Just a lil info about my interest in football. Those days, when i small or in secondary school, i don't watch football. If anyone asks me about which team i support, I'll just say "Manchester United", because i know of that team only, and its the strongest team, too. As time goes by, i started to watch football with my church friends, i got to know more teams, and i got interested with Chelsea, because of their cool blue jersey colour. So from time to time, my interest in C.F.C (Chelsea Football Club) grew bigger and bigger, till last year when the coach Jose Mourinho left. It really impacted me, as a fan. I think he was a good coach, till Avram came. He with his strict face.

Anyway, i really enjoyed tonight's match, i don't feel like watching any Chelsea's match in coming time, cause i think i will die, if they lost to another team.

Yes, i too have a Facebook account, but i don't really use it to chat or add friends or what. I don't even log in to it. I just create fortehlulz and then left it there. I used to send eggs to Lee Xiang, and that's it.

But today, Lee Xiang told me, that i sent a message to her wall, i think? I went to the link given, and this is what i saw.

Seriously, i don't know when i typed this or even use this product. And worse, it didn't only went to her alone, to my whole list of friends. All of my 4 friends!! Lucky for me.

Yes, you read it right, Saiful Apek. "I" even sent him (the Cicakman guy) a spam.

I don't know whats the course, unless someone hacked into my Facebook, which i doubt so, or it's been there for so long, till the virus/spam/malware/tupperware decides to kacau.

What A Day!

My yesterday, was so packed, filled with lotsa of things, and lotsa place to go. Let me start of my adventure.

I actually wanted to go to KDU College, to ask them about the course offered and so on. I left my place about 11AM, and then drive to Asia Jaya. I was suppose to bring my friend along, but he had not come yet. So since, I'm at Asia Jaya, might as well i go to Jaya Supermarket and check out a camera shop my dad was talking about. Once i came there, it's totally close. So i looked around, and saw this big building, right in front of me. The word "Digital Mall" in crystal white, caught my attention. I've heard of this place from my fellow church people, so i went over there.

put in the battery and test it, as it has this shutter clicks. So it's kinda Once i was in there, i looked around, and found a camera shop. I went over, and asked the person if he can repair my camera, or not. After few testings, he said it could be the card's problem, or the card reader inside the camera's problem. Again, I'm disappointed. He suggested me to get myself a new camera. So i took a look at simple ones. Samsung s630, Olympus FE-270 and Canon A470, were the ones he suggested. I cant believe that they actually place real cameras on the display shelf. Other place, they would put the fake ones. These 3 cameras range between RM420.00 till RM490.00. Something which i cant afford. So i asked him about dSLRs. He suggest me the Olympus SP-570. It is not a dSLR, but Semi-pro. I tested it, and i will say, it's really hebat, man! All of a sudden, he suggest me to take the Nikon D40. But he said he couldn't test it, because of the shutter counts. But nevertheless both cameras are good, really good! I got a call from my friend, so i drove back to LRT station Asia Jaya, and picked him up there.

Soon, after fighting my way through nasty roundabout car pile up, i managed to reach KDU. Initially, the parking there is quite small, very small indeed. Many cars are parked outside near one another, so hard wei like this. So we went to the office, Student's Councillor, something like that. As i was sitting there, waiting for someone to come over and talk to me, i saw many foreign students, there. SO MANY!! Most of them are African Americans Soon this man came and talked to us about the course i wanted to take. So after asking so many questions of loans and so on, we left from the office, and took tour around the college. Not that fancylah, but quite OK i guess, i didn't bother to check out the student's room, scared might distract people later. As we were walking out, i saw this Honda Accord, the new onelah, with 3 African Americans standing in front of it. The engine hood is up, and one of them putting something into the engine, after that he closed the engine, and he sit in the driver's seat, while another two of his friends sat at back. I was like WHOA!!! That easy for this fellas to buy a car which even Malaysian executives also cant afford to buy, they are just simple students can buy. I admit I'm quite scared to study here, social problems and so on.

moving, so i thought typical expensive looking shopping complex, with non-working After that, we went to my father's working place and ate there, while i was eating there, coincidence my dad was there too. He only talked about the camera most of the time, instead of the college application. Soon he left, and the time was 3:35pm. His work will finish at 5:00pm. So we decided to go to Cineleisure Damansara, since it was near with my father's working place. Went in and parked there. Quite funny actually, instead of getting parking ticket, as all complex parking system would give, the parking system here gives token to people. Yes, simple blue, shirt button looking token. So it's kinda funny. After that, we came to the escalator, it wasn'tescalators. All of a sudden, after my friend walked, it moved. I got scared! He told me, it was sensor activated. I was like WHOA!! So i wanted to try out the next one, which is going down one. I walked to it, slowly and . . . it didn't move. In front of us, there was this magazines fair. Some magazines were for sale cheap, others were the original price. The magazine with the yellow border caught my attention, so i quickly walk over, just to find it sold in sets. RM80 per set. So i continue to walk around and checking out the magazines over there. I came to another part of the "fair", and saw this time, the magazine with the yellow borders are sold in 1 piece. 1 For RM7:00. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW OLD ONES TOO!!! BACK IN 18-- something, i NEED to get it!! But i had no money. So i decided to look around for the July 1988 edition, it's when i was born. So i tried to find it, its like searching a needle in the haystack. I found it!! So i looked at the issue, it was so boring, but i thought of taking it. Then as i looked somemore, i found September's 1988 issue. It was the 100th years anniversary. So i left the July one there, and took up the September's issue. I bought it!

COMPLETE WITH STAINS AND MARKS MAN!!!

After that, we went around, and then went karaoke. 5 songs altogether. But i didn't sing. I know how terrible my voice is, and i let my friend do all the singing, while i just sit there, laughing in my heart, and get my ears pound heavily by the amplifiers. At third song, Gemilang by Jaclyn Victor, he asked (forced) me to sing that song with him, i didn't want, but he kept on forcing. So oklah, i sing along, but i purposely off the mic. Hehehehe. He didn't know about it. So i just move my mouth only. After the karaoke session, as we going down the escalator, we saw Jehan Miskin, a Malaysian actor, and also Optimus Prime. After that, we went back to my father's working place, and pick him up back.

After come back home from Damansara, quickly i took bath, and get ready. Again, with my dad and friend, we went back to Damansara. Hahahaha. So i left my dad at Damansara Uptown for his business meeting, and then went for dinner with my friend at SS2. After dinner, we went to 1Utama, nothing muchlah, my friend was looking for pair of slippers. But it was 10pm when we reached there. So most of the shops were closing. We walked up to the open air part, its super high i can see the roads, and people around. I could shout "HEY!!!" and then jump down, hahahaha. After walking around here and there, not much of shops we can go to, but its kinda weird, that it's late, but still there are many cars lying around at the parking lot.

Picked my father from Damansara Uptown, and then was on the way back HOME! Overall it was really a nice day, and something goodlah, because you know all the time stay home, where got syiok!

Went out with few friends, unexpected things happens. I remember one funny moment.

Linus was using laptop and was chatting with someone on MSN. Beans went and disturb something by clicking the webcam button. Linus dont want the person to see him through the webcam. So he immediately covered the webcam with his palm, instead of click the Cancel button. After Beans told him to click the button, then only he clicked it, and let go off his hand. Hahaha.

Comedy Court

I was going through Comedy Courts' GoodBye Sam , and i had to say it was lame. I didn't laugh at all the songs. So while i was browsing through their website, i found some videos of their Live shows. So i heard one of them, and it was quite funny, slowly i started to hook up with their dramas.

Comedy Court is about two Indian guys Allan Perera and Indi Nadarajah portraying on lives of normal Malaysians, through their dramas in funny skit. I like the way they portray themself as Chinese and Malays, too. Like one of the skits below, Allan talks like Dr. M. So it's quite funny. In the Chinese skit, they talk exactly how those rich Chinaman talk in phone. In the Indian skits, when i watch it, i remember of those days, when i used to hang out at my grandmother's place during Christmas and other occasions, where my uncles and aunties talk the same style, and slang as how these guys portrays. I'll post of some videos here, the others you have to watch it on your own, as they have quite some bad words in it, not those extreme ones though.

One afternoon at One Utama

I went to One Utama to watch movie (See next post; below), it's my first time ever watching movie at 1 Utama, after reading up Lee Xiang's post. After buying our tickets, we went for lunch, because the movie starts at 4:30, when it was 2:40pm at that time, so kebetulan that Old Town Kopitiam, is there. Miss those moments hang out with the guys, and talk like girlsdry.

So while i was at there, the were quite some people there. I like the place's serenity, calmness and the atmosphere. I ordered Tom Yam Mee Hoon, and Spirulina, very hungry man, didn't eat my breakfast and lunch yet. So while i was eating, i heard quite some noise, from the table opposite. At first, it look like some Chinese college students. So i didn't really cared much. Then they beginning making much more noise, again and again. I hang out with Chinese people all week, and i can safely say, whatever language they are talking, ain't Chinese man, its some Korean, Japanese or Shanghai. They kept on making more and more noise with their stupid language!

Their appearance looks quite funny, one of them, not sure whethear it's a girl or guy, who is short, very short, with his/her tempurung hair style, which laughs much more than Joker . He/she stands up each time, when needs to laugh. Another had this lala looks, 100 % looks like Chinese, actually he looks like someone i know off, spiky hair, with the thick frame glasses like the ah bengs wear ones, and there's another one, i cant really remember how she/he looked like. Then there was this girl, who her eyes, so sepet, looked like the Rapid KL Bus Headlamp. I got very annoyed, i wanted to go over there, and give them a "piece" of respecting people. Then that girl with her Rapid KL Bus Headlamps Eyes, looked at me, i just did one thing. I put my finger, in front of my mouth (you know the sign where parents do to their children, to ask them to keep quiet). She looked and shakes her head like those small dolls with big shaking heads, on their car's dashboard, and told to her friends.

When it's time to pay, they went to the cashier, and told him "1. . . 3 . . . 1 . . . 3" to tell him, its RM13. But he don't understand it, as he was a Bangladeshi doh. Then they left. Later i walked around 1 Utama, nothing much to buy. Not only the prices were expensive, but those cool clothing's weren't my size. Went to Tower Records, to check out albums, but as usual i don't buy them. I really amazed to see how such strong building it was, you know to hold the whole shopping complex together. This like this amazes me a lot.

Yesterday, went to 1 Utama to see this movie. Well, i didn't suggest this movie, my friend did. I just followed on. I had my own agendas, i wanted to watch definitely, maybe, but it's coming on today. By the way, Ironman is coming out on 30th of April, still long waylah.

This story is about a woman, whose name is Jane, who had become bridesmaid for 27 times. She's so interested in weddings or marriages since she was small kid. Then when she was doing her job as bridesmaid for 2 wedding at the same time, she met up with Kevin Doyle.

Yea, this is all I'll share at this moment, i don't want to burst up the whole story. You can watch the trailer below or you can go to the, official website not only you can watch the trailer, but create you own dress.

A part of Melvin - Part 2

This is the continuation of the first part. This time, i will show you which shaver i use.

I use the Gillette M3 Power (Mach 3)

Such a cool packaging, right?

This is how the shaver looks like

I've been using this shaver for more than 10 months or more. Any BMW fan would know why, i choose to buy this shave!

The real M3!!!

Another reason why i bought this shaver, because of the word "Nitro"! Hehehe. It cost bomb, for the price of RM40 plus. To use this shaver, press on the green krypton looking colour button, and it will activate the M3Power (the motor). You will feel vibration, and then proceed to shave. It's quite stylish, sophisticated and classy.

The downside of this product, is that it's expensive, very expensive. When i bought it, i didn't check out the price for the new blades, so after when i wanted to change the blades, i went to check out, the price for the new blades is RM30 plus. Despite with the cool motor runs, while i shave, i don't feel anything, nor it helps reduce itch after shave. The shaving foam for this product, is also available, in green colour which match with the "nitro" theme with quite an expensive price too.

From the first day i use this shaver, till now, it runs on the SAME Duracell battery.

My advice is, if you have the money, and would look for some cool looking shaver, this would be it. But do bare in mind, that the new set of blades are very costly.

Comparison between, the M3Power, Mach3Turbo and the original Mach3

It struck me!

Yesterday, i went for SF again, to listen to what is being thought. The topic yesterday, was studies. After listening to 2 (of many) successful peoples in my church, i really thought to myself, i really have wasted my time in school. I could just become like that, and probably end up in University, by now.

During primary school days, i was one of the best students there, seriously. During Standard 3, i got number 3 in the whole school for PTS exam. I still remember the moments, Khairul Fazrin (1) and Lim Jeng Yi (2) were in front of me, we're suppose to go up the stage, and get our certificates, and presents i think (books). I was so active in English quiz, story telling or anything got to do with those days, i ALWAYS, i repeat ALWAYS get number 1, and i ALWAYS win, that shows how bright i am, hahahaha. My academic life went well, till it was Standard 6. During Standard 6 time, i mixed with the wrong groups, when the people was studying, i was playing bicycle at the bicycle parking, which is next to my classroom (ground floor). Without studying, i got myself 2As, 1B, and 2Cs. I think i would have done better, if i actually studied.

Secondary school times, i was a nerd. I end up in the 4th class out of 11 class in Form 1. Which is not fair, as i have friend who got 5Bs in UPSR, and why do i end up in the 4th class, when i for 2As, 1B and 2Cs. Everything went ok, till i started to lazy. Not doing my homework, and not bringing books to school. By the time Form 3, i started to spike up my hair, lowering down my pants, and chillin' out at class. While my friends were revising, i was beside them making jokes about them. I still remember, i went to the library with a friend, and make fun of him. When the results came out, it did really shocked me a lot. Due to my stupidity, arrogance, and know-it-all attitude, i failed. It was really a big slap!

Form 4, i was changed school, to a school nearby my home, but i wasn't happy there. As all of my friends, were in the old school. So i tried to just live at this school. I applied for Science Stream, despite i failed in maths and science. The teachers don't give me, but they asked me to study hard, for the first exam, and then they would change me to Science Stream. I did study, like after so many years of not studying, and wallah! I did it, so i enter inside the Science class. But i started to show laziness back. I changed school back to my old one, which is far away from my place, but i like it there. I enter inside accounting class, due to there's no place in Science Stream. So i enter, and became lazy there, till Form 5. 3 weeks before SPM, i started to do something, i regret all this while i wasted so much time not studying. I sacrificed my tv time, computer game time (no Internet at that time), food time, social time, and went to my room and studied.

At this time i was already in SAGC, and thanks to Beans and Andrew (or was it Isaac), they print out this prayer item, for students. It's taken from Psalm 23, which they remixed it themselves. I kept it in my pencil bag, each time before and after exam i would read it, and ask God for help. Just as exam finish, i'll walk all by myself to any food stall, and eat and then back to table and studying back. Thank God i got 1 A1, 2 B3, 3 C6, 2 E8. Surprisingly, subjects like Maths i got an E for it, because i' so bad in maths.

What I'm trying to say here is that, most of the times, we tend to become lazy. Just look at how i was transformed due to laziness, environment, and attitude problem. If you're still studying in school, or college, please think my story as a testimony from a person who did took his studies seriously, and take this time to change yourself, for your own good.
