Malaysian Cars - Part 1: Proton

If you have been living here at Malaysia, you would know that Proton and Perodua is our own local car production brand. They had been here for more than years, and both companies been producing cars, for Malaysians, for cheaper price range. But what you might not know is, that most of their designs of their car, is from another brand. Read on.

We'll start with Proton. Proton begin their journey with the Proton Saga, in 1985, all the way to Proton Persona in 2007. From the begining, from the Proton Saga model till the Proton Waja model, mostly the designs are from their partnership with Mitsubishi. The designs and the engine model were from Mitsubishi's designs. So dont be suprise to see some "protons" at Japan.

Notice it? It looks almost the same. But the Wira above is Aeroback, so the picture doesnt show the similarity with this Lancer.
