G4G 2007

Went for the Grooving For God - Dance Fest 2007 Concert, yesterday. If I'm not mistaken, its a 3 day event, from Friday the 12th October 2007, till Sunday the 14th October. Today is the Finale, so you still can go for it. Its being held at

NOTE: The Sound system wasn't that good, so i couldn't listen certain things like the band names, and their dance moves and so on, but i did take note whole time of the concert, just for you guys :)

The event host was Liang, i only knew that after some certain of time, because i came there late, and also i cannot recognize him, hehehe. I thought he was another Christian

The event started off by singing praise, and i got to say the praise session wasn't that encouraging, I'm sorry to say that. There was only 1 singer, the guitar wasn't in "Drive" all the time, there wasn't any Drums!!! One of the songs were One Way, and how can you sing One Way without drums, its incomplete. I knew the reason there wasn't any drums because they want to use the stage as dance floor, but they could have gone unplugged or acoustic, so much better, right? The AV suck big time. People in my church can do so much better job than this people. Imagine this, worship session for a dance concert, and the person in charge keep on finding the slides for the songs. At one time, they closed slide show, and begin finding the slides, by manual way, and yet they still got the wrong slide. But the bassist was female :P

The Dance.

1St of, was by 2 guy dancers, they performed sort of robotic moves dance. Real cool. They managed to impressed the crowd and capture attention and applause from the crowd for their dance.

2nd dance, the theme was love. These dancers flew all the way from The Philippines, Unlike the first group, there were girls too in this band. So you can see girls dancing with guys. Then the guys went break dancing. Their show was really energetic.

Next of, was 1st batch graduates from the CDFM. Their dance moves were however, slow hip hop dance. They have potential to be more professional in the future.

4th dance group was from a participating church. They were consist of 6 girls and a boy. They costume was plain white shirt, together with black tie and pants. Their theme however is about Hollywood, and its a real good theme i would say. There were slides of Hollywood magazine covers on the celebs and their trouble lifestyle. Then they dance to this Chinese song, i don't know the artist thought, and then they dance to one of Rain's song. They danced for a while for both of this songs. Then when the MV was over, they showed again the Hollywood magazine cover. The next thing, the dancers were on the stage back, and this time they were wearing more colourful and bright outfit, and they dance to PlanetShaker's Would You Break Free.
Another energetic performance.

Juwita Suwito came up to stage, and sang 2 songs. I cant recall the first song, because i didn't manage to listen to the title, but the second song though was Satu Suara. Its my first time seeing Juwita live. Her appearance was totally different from what i see in the tv and papers. On the tv, you can see wearing spectacles, and bubbly, but she was different yesterday, without spectacles, and she looks like she lose weight. But her appearance was totally normal yesterday, i think she is a humble person.

Next after her, Liang came up the stage, and sang a song. Hehehe, he also gave some vocal training, hahaha. The song he performed i didn't know the title, please forgive me again, but i do know its not from his album. Could it be from his new album?

Then this pastor came up to speak, he talk english for a while, and he said "I'm going to speak in Cantonese". The he start talking in Cantonese, i don't understand any single thing what he's saying. I only understand some few words like, Amen and Bandar Utama.

Finally the moment everyone was waiting for, The B-Boy and B-Girl Breakdance battle. This is the most exciting part of the show, you can see people moving like top (gasing), by their head on the floor, you can see people doing Spin-a-Roonie (windmill) like how the WWE fella Booker-T does, small and BIG people doing handstand, turtle, downrock, headstand, freeze, and so much more. It was Crazeee i tell you!! Too bad though, most of them were guys, only 2 girls. Looking at those guys doing that, its makes you look down on yourself, seeing you all that flabby and wont be able to do those moves. But its ok, im a rock person!! hehee

I'M VERY SORRY GUYS, AS I DIDN'T TAKE ANY PICTURES, I KNOW IF I PUT PICTURE, IT WILL BE GREAT, RIGHT? I DON'T HAVE ANY CAMERA, EXCEPT MY HAND PHONE, WHICH WILL BE NOT CLEAR AND NOT NICE TOO SEE.. :(
