Lina Joy

Yesterday one news which caught my attention deeply was the case of Lina Joy... For those who didnt know, shes a born muslim, and at the age of 20+ she became Christian. Her appeal to have the word "islam" to be removed from her MyCard, by the National Registration Department (NRD), had been turned down...

Honestly when i think about it, or some Christians too, why the appeal had been turned down. She wanted to become part of God's family, to be closer to him, and to Jesus Christ, but why is this happening, why God didnt do anything, dont we all think it that way... I for one didnt saw this coming...

But i do know, God is SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL, than the malaysian government, and He is able to do something, miracly, something BIG... I personally think sometimes we take granted of our "Christian", we just think "Oh! im a Christian" and it ends there, but this woman is fighting for her "Christian", and willing to go courts and in front of hunderd muslims, to be "persecuted"...

Here's the link to Star, and there's a video too, check out the video too...

Via The Star:
“I am disappointed that the Federal Court is not able to vindicate a simple but important fundamental right that exists in all persons; namely, the right to believe in the religion of one's choice and equally important, the right to marry a person of one's choice and to raise a family in the Malaysia context.
“The Federal Court has not only denied me that right but to all Malaysians who value fundamental freedoms,” she told The Star, through her solicitor Benjamin Dawson.
“I am hoping that my case would have made a difference to the development of constitutional issues in the plight of many others."
Asked whether she would leave Malaysia for good, Lina, who is believed to be overseas at present, said: “It would extremely difficult to exercise freedom of conscience in the present environment".

Only God knows what is in my heart and I hope everyone will respect my conviction."
