DMSJ

Yes good ol' DMSJ has just ended on Sunday, pretty sad huh... Anyway if u were wondering, what am i doing, talking bout it now, when it has ended, actually i had 2 posts bout DMSJ, 1 is super long post just bout everything is written in there, but i deleted it, who likes to read long posts, i for one do read long posts, but i dont think others would like to do the same too...

Anway, this year's DMSJ is held at Daya Gospel Center (DGC), which is in Johor. This year's contestants is Jason, Linus, Clement, Eric, Brandon and Sarah... Their teacher is Lue Jun Yi... Our T-Shirt this year is faded blue, pretty unexpected colour, looking back 2 years ago it was striking red and lime green on 2006, but still im happy able to wear the shirt which is 7XL the measurement...

Before this i was thinking is it worth to go all the way to Johor, cause its wasting time, wasting money, seats (i might as well give my seat to someone else), then i think its something better if i go, cause at least i have new air to breathe, right... So there was i, going to Johor... The trip was something tiring, but it was fun, cause i sit next to Wilson Tang, he is so funnylah...

We've reached to DGC already, but im not keen on meeting anyone, cause i dont know anybody from there, except for 1 or 2 people... As i was walking i spotted a familiar face, it was Edwin, so i throw a high-5 on the air, he greeted me too... Then i saw more familiar faces, Sabrina Cheah, the missionary who went to China... WAH!!! Those beef sweets were something i tell you

After that there was lunch and drinks time, i like their Lee Chee Kang (I hope i pronounced it right,(sounds like someone's name))... Aunty Mei Lin says there's seaweed in the drink, yum yum!!! I never eaten Seaweeds in my entire life...

After that was DMSJ Quiz turn, but before that let me share something... We got this bulletins, and there is a list of accommodations, and i was searching for my name, i couldnt find it, but then after a few look, i saw my name... it says :-

I was like "HUH!!! WHAT!!! MAMPOSLAH!!!", Yes, cause i was the only male, and the rest is female... I was scared, i was terrified, i was in paranoia... Then i asked Elaine and Teoh, who is this Carol Yap, is she married or not... They told me she is married and have children somemore... WHOA!!! what a relieve, cause they told me that Carol Yap is youth advisor, so therefore i though it might be some teenager girl... Turns out, Carol's son Joel is in My CG once... SO IM NOT THE ONLY MALE IN THE HOUSE, well that includes Uncle Rocky, not Rocky Balboa, but Rocky Yap, (i hope i got the correct names)...

During the competition, it was tense, minding twisting, hearts pumping, stomach making noise, and sweat flowing from your pores... Our church, which is SAGC and DGC were sooo close with one another, till the end, but the winner is DGC, Congrat~ DGC... As for SAGC, i could say that yll the greatestlah, if there were more questions, im sure that yll can beat them all... Congrats~ to yll too :) I still remember, during 1 time, when they wanted to determine how the tie questions will go on, on of the old man stand up and gave his opinion, then suddenly out of nowhere Isaac Chee stood up and gave his opinion, then the old man called Isaac "Kiasu"... hahaha

Anyway, after the competition was games, it was a lame ice breaker i would say, dancing with girls, EWH!!! the next ice breaker was to create a house, not any ordinary house, but complete with windows and doors, and WITH ALL YOUR TEAM MEMBERS INDISE IT, made out only by using long ballons (the ones used by magicians to make poodles and swords one)... Oh btw, im in team Gareb, i dont know what does that means, but i like the team colour, Purple... Not any purple but SILK PURPLE :P..
Btw, my team consists of Teoh, Man Ling, Beans (LJY), AAron, Uncle Charlie, and me, well all of this people is from SAGC, there is other stranger which i cant recall their names, that is why they are called as strangers... hahaha ok im sorry

Yeah our team didnt win, but still we have (check this out) windows, pillar (tree trunk, actually), and a door, which can be opened and closed... Honestly i didnt contribute much to this challenge, due to the phobia of sounds of bursting ballons... After that was wash up time, the time which we have to go back to our accommodations, Carol pick us up, together with her daughter to her home, it was just like 2-3 minutes drive from her home to the church... Ill be staying at Joel's room, while Kelly and Sarah will be staying at Joel's sister room (sorry but i forgot her name), the host were so kind and helpful...

After bath time, we have to go back to church for dinner, while i was waiting for dinner at the small hall, i was with some other church people, someone told Chee Kean ill was staying at Carol Yap's home, with Sarah and Kelly, and he smiled at me and say " nice, ah"... I was like "huh"... Dinner time, i had dinner with Wilson, Man Ling, Mei Yoon, Kim Wye, Yuen Wye, Kok Wai Oops... Kok Wai wasnt there... Yes it was kinda like the happening table, because of the presence of Wilson in the table, it makes dinner more enjoyable, but i wasnt enjoying totally, i was sad for 1 thing... Beans will be going back at that night, i mean he is the coach for SAGC DMSJ team, and now he's leaving, cause he has exam tommorro, plus he's in my team too... :(

After that there was a message by Uncle Rodney Tan, i dont know who he is, but his message got some funny stuffs in it, but he keeps on repeating his whole message, aiyoh... I dont know what reason it was, but i was kinda sleepy the whole night, but the night hasnt over yet, there's still 1 more thing to do... Which is Briefing/Discussion & practise for PRESENTATION... The presentation is bout presenting 2 Samuels, about King David who is attracted to Bethsebah, the story begans... by yll opening the book of 2 Samuels, chapter 11 and by yourselfs... hahaha

Anyway, we began our practice, somehow Teoh and one more girl i dont know here name, were very "active", Ideas keep on flowing from them a lot, just like running tap water... So we just practise once, just to have all the basic ideas in place... After that was supper time, i didnt take supper because i wasnt hungry...
After that was return to accommodation time, it was 1140+pm already, so it was time to go back, and Aunty Carol led us to her car, in the car, suddenly she said this " Ok, tommoro is Joel's birthday, we are having a suprise party" i was like "WHOA!!! this is cool and funny", i mean its only less than one day we came there, then suddenly it was the host's son's birthday.. This is something new for me, which is something good, it gives us the opportunity to be close to the family...

Joel was in another car, he was in his friends car,and his dad has to send some other people back home... So we went home, and Aunty Carol prepares the cake, i just sit there and watch the whole thing, before they could light up the candles, Joel came back, his sister went out to distract him, from coming, then she came back inside,after that Joel was almost near to the main door, i went out to distract him this time, so i went out and saw him, and ask questions like this, "Hi do you still remember me", "im from SAGC", "Im from CG Patience", "My name is Melvin, you remember right", just to block him from entering the door, but he seems to be like coming more and more in front, so i had to give up, he puts his stuffs just near the door and takes of his shoes, i think he didnt saw the cake..

Then after that, his sister played the piano the "Happy Birthday" song, and he was shocked to see the cake on the table,hahaha, so we sang and claped, after that we go to meet with two of his friends... Then it was time to sleep, it was 1200+am and we're to wake up early tommorro for B.O.B...

I had a great sleep that night and woke up late at 8am,hahaha silly me... :P
Went to church for the B.O.B, suprisingly though their wine tasted almost same as SAGC's wine, or is my taste buds got problem... hahaha... After that was breakfast, and after that was presentation time, i was acting as Nathan, initially i was suppose to be the poor man, but then changed... My only props were just a plain white table cloth... When it was my turn to come out (of the place we suppose to wait), everybody seems to wissle at me and cheering, i was nervous... I mean, am i that famous, that until DGC,JBGC, and MGC people like know me only... hahaha

After that was present/gift presentation time and after that was lunch... After lunch is kinda sad time, cause its bubye time... :(

Anyway, i enjoyed this year's DMSJ, it was really fun, and i cant wait to attend the next DGC's turn to organize DMSJ again...
